Peri O’Connor
Jewelry in Sterling and Fine Silver, and Italian Glass
Peri O’Connor has been designing and crafting jewelry for 10 years. However, her passion for art began during her early childhood, thanks much in part to her family upbringing—her father was an architect and painter who worked with oil, charcoal and pastels, and both of her parents were avid theatre and museum goers who regularly brought Peri and her sisters to New York City to experience Broadway shows, galleries and museums and the overall diverse arts and culture scene.
Art has always remained an integral part of Peri’s life. She graduated from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre and English Education. While at Emerson, Peri studied costume design, which is where she developed a specific interest in jewelry making. Since college, Peri has taught drama and theatre to children. She also pursued a professional career outside of the arts, and raised a family.
Throughout the years, Peri’s quest to create prevailed and she went on to discover that the art of jewelry design was the perfect outlet to express her passion and creativity. She has studied jewelry making and silver smithing at the Museum of Fine Arts Stonybrook Fine Arts School, as well as sterling and fine silver fusing and silver design. Peri has also studied photography. However most of Peri’s inspiration for her work comes from within.
Peri O’Connor is proud to offer unique, custom jewelry in sterling and fine silver and Italian glass, as well as other materials, including semi-precious stones and sea glass.
